Is noted for its ability to thrive in hot, dry conditions. Arinto is one of the few white varieties that can maintain its natural acidity during long hot summers resulting in beautifully fresh and vibrant wines.

TASTES LIKE: Nashi pear, white peach and citrus blossom. This, a case in point. Free run, a little of the light pressings, and wild fermented in steel. Pear and dried apple lashed with brine, savoury-spiked with parsley seed and fennel frond, a water-splashed-concrete mineral note accenting. There’s a nice little plump of texture and fruit weight, accosted and stewarded into line by satisfyingly natural acidity and faintly seasoning grip. 93 points

CAMPBELL MATTINSON WINE FRONT: It’s a touch muted on the nose perhaps but there’s serious detail and flavour on the palate. This is a wine worth recommending. Slate, spice, aniseed and brine notes are served with a chalky, salty dryness. It’s textural, it’s savoury, and it makes an impression. 93 Points
