Stephen

I have a passion for wine and in particular, Australian wines. We grow and make some of the best wines in the world and feel that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to get a great wine. I love helping people find that special bottle to pair with a meal or a gift for friends and family. I love a great Shiraz from the Barossa, a Grenache from Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale or an Adelaide Hills Riesling and it is hard not to love a Pinot Noir from Tasmania. Some of my European favourites are Nebbiolo or Nero d’Avola from Italy and Gruner Veltliner from Austria. There is nothing better than a long lunch with friends or family with good food, great wine and plenty of stories.

Pat

l’m Pat, born right here in the ACT. Canberra is my home. It’s the best place to live and work. I love my job at Plonk – my specialty is anything sour and sweet. Mostly beers but also sometimes spirits. I like helping customers choose different products and answering their questions about different things.

Damien

I’ve been in the liquor industry for more than 30 years. I found my passion for wine at an early age and love to explore all parts of the wine world. I really enjoy helping customers find the perfect gift or the best wine to match a special meal. Many holidays have been spent exploring wineries across Australia and Europe.

George

I’m new to the team at Plonk and am passionate about craft beer and helping customer find their favourite style. When I’m not behind the counter, I’m usually at home experimenting with small-batch brews using some different and unusual ingredients including a pomegranate sour and a kaffir lime cerveza.
