5Nines Frontignac Cask strength

David Pearse and Steven Griguol work from the Adelaide Hills with an aim to create the perfect spirit - hence the name "5Nines" = 99.999% perfection. In this series, they select the best of the best to be bottled at cask strength with no water added, no chill filtering and no flocking. Made using locally grown ale malt, fermented for seven days then double distilled, the whisky was matured in a single heavy char 100 litre French oak cask that previously held Clare Valley Liqueur Frontignac. 

Nose: Wet earth, malt sweetness, burnt caramel. 

Palate: Caramel boiled lollies, bluegum honey, malt. 

Finish: Honey, apples, subtle oak.
