With a brand new beer created each year, our annual Fresh Hop Harvest Ale is one of our most popular seasonal brews! Fresh hop beers can only be made for a few weeks each year, during the annual harvest. The difference in the final product compared with using processed hops is a 'fresh' pungency and greater depth of flavour - a bit like using freshly picked herbs in cooking rather than dried. This year's Fresh Hop Harvest Ale was made using 'Fresh Eclipse hops' from Bushy park. We used a blend of pale, Munich and wheat malt - a simple malt bill - to let the fresh eclipse hops shine. Mandarin and citrus aromas combine with a fresh juiciness on the palate rounded out with a firm bitterness.
