Rich and smooth, Port Cask 43% is a core range Limeburners expression exhibiting the decadent result of spending time in Australian Port Casks. Handcrafted at our distillery on the edge of Princess Royal Harbour, this whisky was first aged in ex-bourbon American oak before maturing further in a Port cask. Prior to bottling we hydrate this whisky with pure water to bring it to an approachable 43%. The result is an exceptionally smooth and morish whisky, tasting of caramelised port wine raisins, stewed plums, and fresh nutmeg.
