LS Merchants "Butter Barrels" Chardonnay

In stepped Butter Barrels, we source the fruit for this wine about 3-4 weeks later than the LS Merchants Chardonnay allowing the fruit time to ripen up and get nice and peachy. Wild ferment in French oak, 40% new, with liberal stirring and a big dose of malo to boost up the buttery flavours. Aged for 8 months in oak before being racked, filtered and bottled. Think yellow stone fruit, grapefruit pith, fresh pineapple and jasmine. Rich and full of flavour on the palate with a nice touch of oak and gentle acid giving the wine structure, depth and power! Drink now and over the next 3-5 years.
